A blog about books. Reading between the spines. Writing between the lines. The crisp comfort of turning pages. Lessons learned and taught through the written words.

People ask me if I have a blog.
People, mostly friends, ask me all the time if I blog. I ackwardly say yes and recently have mentioned the blog posts I've written for the Lost Word Writers Group, website. I am not a faithful blogger mostly because I don't have a laptop. Anyone who has ever written on a mobile device understands.
To me a web log, the best ones, are focused. They have one topic, even if that topic is the blogger's life or favorite books or food. I am a little too all over the place to really write a blog well. But, that doesn't prevent me from working at it.
I have a dotty, for severe lack of a better word, blogging history. I started my first blog on this site, blogger, back in 2006 or something. Around the time I first decided to try my hand at a writing career. Blogging was a quick way to break into online publishing. So many blogs were being picked up and turned into books that it seemed an easy way to get into print. Yeah, right. I never believed that, but I thought what the hey. Actually my first blog was more a free therapy session than anything and yeah, that led to trouble, but I won't go into details. I deleted that first blog. Of course it is probably still floating out in cyberspace somewhere. My second blog was a book based blog, this one actually. Book bliss and blues. I really like that title. Sometime in 2011 or so I decided I wasn't writing enough about the books I read so I decided to change the focus of my blog. I had written three novels, more actually, but only finally learned how to finish one thanks to another Lost Word Writer. Due to interrupted Internet service and no reply from my first attempt to submit to a literary agent I abandoned my blog again. In June 2012 or so I became webmaster for the Lost Word Writers website and so I began to blog yet again, this time with focus.
So why am I writing a post on this blog? Because I am going to link to it on the Lost Word Writers website and I decided that I needed to write a more current post...
